Bis OFP Su25 to ArmA.
A Step by Step guide for all people that wish to play around with bad functional low poly models in ArmA.
Step 1.Decisions
Normaly decisions are made by throwing a dart on map and then visit that place, however since my LCD is new we just choose Su25 without discussing why.
Step 2. Start the operation
We use any depbo tool and there is plenty of them and depbo the Su25.pbo that we win in your addons folder in OFP.
If you lost already, skip to step 8.
Step 3. odol to mlod.
In ArmA I couldnt get ArmA to use the odol files but only mlod, this matters because all the BIS models comes in format "odol" (excep the Ch46 because they were lazy).
There is Odol viewer and P3d edit among others to use. I prefer P3d edit.
Open the model and then just go "File-Save As" and when the box pop up, be sure to choose "mlod" instead of odol.
Around now its good if you decided to move a copy of the su25 and content to a new destination.
Step 4. update the textures.
You have all the su25 textures in the su25 folder? Yes..No, you dont. Su25 model use a number (think it is 5) diffrent textures that comes from outside the folder.
Use TxtPathSwap to change textures, copy the textures that you need from data.pbo and move to your su25 folder.
The reason why to use TxtPathSwap instead of doing it in O2 is that you see all textures no matter which lod you viewing.
Less prone to errors and that it is faster.
Step 5. Destruction
Open the model in O2, now for some reason the model will work almost perfect except some selections that will look just silly.
Two of them "clan" and "clan_sign" can/should be removed for all lods.
Step 6. The config.
Shit, this is the hard, boring part..so I just included it in the zip you find at the end.
Use the config to try your su25. It will show up on east side.
Step 7. corrections.
Now wtf was that, the pilot was just like ahh not there.
Open up o2, change the "proxy:a10pilot.01" to "proxy:pilot.01" and then move it to a postion you think is close enough.
I havent done this step but it should be made. The weapons, wtf not su25. Well, be my guest and change it.
This model sucks why should I put more energy into it, good luck with the gears btw.
Step 8. Waiting.
Open a beer, wait for the tools.
For the config file, the pbo and the programs needed (except o2)
Download the su25.zip 2 mb
